Our baby is transforming into a little boy! He had a great first birthday complete with a zoo party. Grandpa Randy, Grandma Lori, Grandma Jamie and Grandpa Jim travelled from Iowa for a long weekend to help celebrate. Will's friend from stroller aerobics, Cameron, and his mommy also came for the party on Saturday.

Will opened his presents (with a little help) and wanted to play with everything. He loved the cards and envelopes but once he saw what was inside the wrapping paper or gift bag, he just wanted to play. It was difficult to get him interested in opening the next present.

Will wasn't quite sure what to think of the cake. Maybe he knew that under normal circumstances, he isn't encouraged to dive into a sweet treat on the table or perhaps there were too many faces, cameras, hats and balloons that were distracting him. He did "pat" his cake and had a bite or two with a little help.

ReplyDeleteLooks like you had lots of fun on your 1st birthday. Loved the zoo cake, balloons and party hats. You are one adorable boy. Hard to believe you are walking. The ABCs of Will at Age One is so cute. We have enjoyed seeing pictures of you and hearing how your first year of life has gone. We are looking forward to another year of your life on this blog.
