Healthy Boy!

Yesterday, Will saw a specialist for his reflux. The pediatrician had increased his meds and put a referral into the gastroenterologist at his last appointment since he was still spitting up so much and it had been going on for so long. About 2 weeks ago we noticed that we had had a couple days in a row that there was NO spitting up. We hadn't had to scrub the carpets, change bibs and shirts, change crib sheets twice in one day--there was NOTHING! The next 2 weeks continued to go well. There was the occassional spit-up, but just once or twice a day and in small amounts. We hated to call and cancel the appointment, because we didn't want to jinx it and it takes forever to get into see a specialist.

The doctor we saw yesterday was great. He asked tons of questions, assured us that it was good that we kept our appointment and told us that Will is a healthy, growing boy that just took a little longer than normal to outgrow the reflux/spitting up. We'll continue the meds that he is currently on and start phasing them out in the next couple months with hopes that he keeps his stomach acids and food where it belongs!

To celebrate, he got his 4th haircut. :-)  His hair grows so fast!

Our little star!
