This fall Will and Mommy are doing a 10 week story time at the Princess Anne Library. Last Tuesday was Will's 2nd class. He had visited the Nevada story time when we were in town in July and seemed to really like it, so we got him signed up for story time here. The difference between small town Nevada and big city Virginia Beach, is that you have to register and with such a limited number of kids allowed it's kind of difficult to get in. We had tried last year, but by Day 2 of registration, they were already full. This year we got lucky and our friend Julie called and registered Cameron and Will at the same time. Will's class is called "Onesies Rhyme Time". We sing lots of songs, the teacher reads a book, we read books out of a big basket (one-on-one), shake shakers and have a great time! Will starts the 25 minute class time a little shy. He'll walk to the middle of the rug in the classroom and then runs back to me. He'll do this the first half of class and then he wanders around the room checking out the other kids and the teacher. When it's time to pick out books to read with the parents, instead of choosing a book for each hand like most of the kids, he lifts the entire basket to bring it to me. (Even the teacher uses 2 hands to carry the basket full of books.)
This week we finally got our new library card and chose 3 books to borrow from the library. We put them in his little blue bag and he was very proud to bring them home! We'll see which ones he chooses next week!
