Saturday morning we headed to the fire station for a pancake breakfast and to check out the firetrucks. Will and Daddy also got to take a ride around Polk City in a firetruck!

| It was a chilly morning, so Thomas stayed bundled up. |

After the fun at the fire station, we headed to Lowes so Will & Daddy could do their fun "Build and Grow" project. Thomas and I got to supervise.
 |
| First you must read the directions and make sure you have all the pieces. |
 |
| Then it's time to build! |

He completed the project (a "Spooky Stacker") and got a certificate and a patch to add to his apron |
The rest of the day, Jason (with a little help from Will) got the garage cleaned out, shelves put up and things somewhat organized. Now the car and the truck both fit! Hurray! Our garbage and recycling receptacles are full!
Sunday, we headed to Adel to a pumpkin patch with Grandma Jamie. Will found a BIG pumpkin and Thomas found a small pumpkin. Thomas slept through his first pumpkin patch experience and Will loved every part of the farm! He ran around (and tripped through) the pumpkin patch, was really excited about the hayrack ride, played beanbags, and fed the goats.

Had to capture a family shot (even if it was super bright and "we" were having a hard time sitting still) |
Needless to say, it was difficult to pull him away and get in the car....
....but...then he and Daddy headed out to meet Papa Tim in a bean field for some time in the combine.
Thomas and Mommy stayed home to work on laundry and dishes and enjoy some quiet time. Thomas also was practicing his smiles!

| Smiling wore somebody out! |
