Instead, Will got to pick out a fancy pair of blue glasses. We were walking out of the eye doctor's office after picking up these blue glasses (with blue camo on the sides) and he tells me he is ready to put them in the case. After some convincing (and bribing with a cereal bar) we make it to the car and out of the parking lot. This was the conversation on the way home:
Will: Mom!
Me: What?! (Not sure if glasses already broke or he needed to use the bathroom...who knows with this guy!)
Will: I can see Superman's face!
Me: (Holding back tears that my baby hadn't been able to see his beloved toys face and feeling joy that now he could!) You couldn't see it before?
Will: No! And now I can see his face!
He has been diagnosed with amblyopia (just like Daddy!) and they are hoping to correct it some with the correction in his left eye (right eye is right where it should be for his age). If there isn't improvement, then they may try patching the right eye to help strengthen his left.
We think he's super handsome in his spiffy glasses!
