Will had his yearly visit with the allergist a couple weeks ago. Every year, she retests his peanut allergy to see if his numbers are going up or down. This year, she also decided to retest his tree nuts since he hadn't been tested for those since his initial diagnosis.
The results are in, and the numbers didn't report what we had crossed our fingers for. His peanut numbers went up (out of 6 levels, he's now at the top of Level 3) and he came back positive for several of the tree nuts (chestnuts, cashews, Brazil, pistachio, etc.).
Our new instructions are to avoid ALL peanut products (obviously) and ALL tree nuts with the exceptions of almonds and hazelnuts (because he has been eating those and hasn't experienced problems).
