What a busy, fun, crazy, cold month!

 We made Nativity sets at church

The boys practiced hard for the Church Christmas Program. They performed one song during church.

We watched Santa arrive on the fire truck at the Square Lighting

 The 2nd Grade music program was lots of fun to watch. Will was even a "greeter".

 We had 4 family Christmases...
1st was in Huxley

2nd was in Nevada

3rd was in Ames

 4th was in Ankeny

Jason survived his final projects for the fall semester. Will even wrote an encouraging note.

We celebrated our Christmas on Christmas Eve. 

And we were up before the sun on Christmas Day to head to Virginia. It was so fun. We hadn't been back since we moved. Will wasn't even 2 years old and he had been asking about his first home. It was great to show him where we spent those 1st months of his life. Thomas was excited for his first plane ride. Both boys loved the beach! We tried to cram a lot into the 4 day vacation. (Next time we'll go when it's a little warmer!)

Headed home (did I mention Will got motion sick on the way to VA? this time we were prepared)

Thomas slept a lot of the way home, but made sure to check out the safety features of our airplane

When we got back home to Iowa it was snowy, cold and Jason and I were sick (probably Influenza A...at least that's what Thomas tested positive for a few days later).

(January 1, 2018) This guy was supposed to have adenoids out the same week he got the flu.
Anesthesia postponed surgery until he's completely flu-free.

It was a happy 2017 and we look forward to 2018!
