Quick Trip to MN

This weekend we had a quick but fun trip to Minnesota to visit Uncle Brian, Aunt Chris and of course Cousin Anna. Will talks about Anna often and thinks all little girls are Anna (sometimes pronounced "Nanna"--similar to his "banana" pronunciation). We left Iowa Saturday around noon and got up there in time for Uncle Brian and Anna's birthday celebration. They had also just moved into a new house, so Jason got to help move a few of the big items from the old house.

Saturday night was a short night. Will decided he didn't want to sleep in the pack and play so ended up on the air mattress with Daddy and Mommy and to top it off there was a thunderstorm. He has never been a good "co-sleeper" so the night was full of repositioning and a young child picking his head up to let us know that there was "wain" outside. We did manage to catch a few zzzz's and I woke up to a 30+ lb toddler laying diagonally across my chest. (He's too darn cute!)

Sunday he slept on the way to lunch and on the way back to their house after lunch. We knew he was tired so we thought it would be a quiet car ride back to Iowa...WRONG! He didn't sleep at all! Silly boy! He wasn't a real happy camper on the way home, but once we arrived, it was straight to bed and then he slept VERY well!

(And Will was proud to bring his suitcase on the trip.)
