Originally we were going to head home today, but decided we were sort of exhausted from the hustle and bustle of the city so wanted one more day to stick around our hotel and explore a few things nearby. We slept in, enjoyed the hotel breakfast and then visited the IKEA down the road. There are always fun things to look at there. Our big purchase was a $4 soft soccer ball for Will.
Another thing on our list was to visit Hoboken, NJ to go to Carlo's Bakery (the home of the reality show, The Cake Boss, on TLC). We had heard stories of 3 hour waits to get in the bakery, but decided we'd give it a shot. When we arrived, it was raining. We had one umbrella for the 3 of us but made the walk from a parking garage to the bakery with was several blocks away. There was a short line in front of the bakery, but then a longer line across the street under the large awning of the CVS. It took about 45 minutes for the whole experience, but in the end it was worth it! We were pretty drenched when we finally got in the store and it was very chaotic inside.

Drenched! (but glad to be inside and out of the rain)

It was a little difficult to make our way to the counters to even see what
they had, but we made some good selections! |

Cute little packages tied up with strings. These could be one of my favorite things :-)

Yum!
We came back to the hotel for some relaxation. We went swimming, ordered in some pizza and got everything ready to leave the next morning.

Will loved the big mirror. Wouldn't twin Wills have been fun?!?!
