Preparation-H

(As in Preparation Hurricane)

We have been preparing for Hurricane Irene. We even packed a couple bags in case there was a mandatory evacuation and we needed to pack up in a hurry. The above picture shows some of our supplies. Will has enjoyed taking the food and flashlights of the box and playing with them. I think we have done a good job returning those items to the box :-)

We are glad to hear that Irene seems to be losing a little bit of her strength and has been downgraded to a Category 1. It did speed up, so we will experience more of the wind and rain during the daytime hours instead of in the overnight hours.

We went out this evening for one last Target trip to pick up some more Will-friendly food and peanut M&Ms :-) Most places have put up signs saying they will be closed for the weekend. We also saw some places boarding up for the storm.

Kohl's down the road from us was in the process of boarding up their windows.

This clinic (also down the road from us) was really boarded up. 

We'll see what tomorrow brings!
